Dr. Nina Ahuja BScHons, MD, FRCSC, CHE

Founder, Docs in Leadership

Dr. Nina Ahuja is an Eye Physician and Surgeon who began her private practice in Hamilton in 2003.  An Associate Clinical Professor with a passion for teaching, Dr. Ahuja was a key contributor to establishing the Ophthalmology Residency Program at McMaster University established in 2005.  She has won numerous awards for contributions to residency education over the years, and is currently Division Head for Ophthalmology in the Department of Surgery at McMaster.  She is also an examiner for the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

In addition to her roles in academia, Dr. Ahuja has held a number of leadership positions in hospital administration.  She is currently President of the Medical Staff Association, and member of the Medical Advisory Committee and Joint Board of Governors at St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton.  As a health systems advocate, Dr. Ahuja recently founded Docs in Leadership, an organization created to promote leadership education to physicians and fellow health professionals.
