Rotary Sunrise host lecture for St. Martin Day

PHILIPSBURG - Rotary Club of St. Martin Sunrise promotes literacy and basic education as one of its primary areas of focus. Continuing with this theme on the occasion of St. Martin Day 2015, the Club in a partnership with the Philipsburg Jubilee Library has invited Canadian author, entrepreneur and philanthropist, Ms. Linda Marshall to give a lecture entitled:

Are You Living Your Legacy in St. Martin?

The lecture will be held on Tuesday, November 10, from 6:30 – 8:30PM at the Philipsburg Jubilee Library.  Entrance is free and Rotary will appreciate donations for its signature SXM Reads project.

Based on her new book Giving Back – How to Find Your Personal Joy and Make a Difference to Others, Linda Marshall will talk  about the joy of making a better contribution to the world and particularly to St. Martin. In view of St. Maarten Day on November 11, Linda will focus first on Giving Back with a highlight of nine key attributes that make for a happier, healthier life and some pragmatic but realistic ways to leverage and make a better difference. She will conclude her lecture on the theme of Gratitude. How can we show more Gratitude to this place where we are living our legacies but also to our families, friends and neighbors.

President Marcellia Henry, hopes that this lecture will resonate more positively and encourage people to find ways to personal success and contribute to the wellbeing of our island and help make the world a better place. She is happy to announce that a copy of the book will be donated to the Philipsburg Jubilee Library Director, Mrs. Monique Alberts.
